1. Introduction

AI with Liam ("we", "us", or "our") is a service of DeskCush Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit learnaiwithliam.deskcush.com, use our AI assistant, or engage our 1:1 AI coaching services.

2. Information We Collect

Personal information you provide

When you make an enquiry or book a session, we collect: your name, email address, business name, role, and information about what you'd like to learn or build.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Usage data

We collect basic analytics via Google Analytics (page views, time on page, referrer, anonymised IP). You can opt out via your browser or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

AI assistant conversations

If you use the chat assistant on this site, the messages you send are processed in real time to generate a reply (see Section 4 for full details).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your enquiries and deliver coaching sessions you've booked
• Send service-related communications (booking confirmations, follow-ups)
• Improve our website and the assistant's helpfulness
• Comply with legal and tax record-keeping obligations

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

4. AI Assistant ("Liam's AI Assistant")

What happens when you use the assistant

Each message you type is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response, then the response is shown back to you in the chat window. Both your messages and the assistant's replies are processed by Anthropic on our behalf.

Sub-processor

Anthropic PBC (USA). Anthropic acts as our sub-processor for assistant queries. Their handling is governed by Anthropic's Commercial Terms and DPA. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Training data

Conversations are not used to train AI models. We use Anthropic's API on a commercial tier where customer inputs are not retained for model training under Anthropic's standard terms.

International transfers

Anthropic processes API requests on infrastructure based in the United States. Transfers from the UK rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (UK IDTA) to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, alongside Anthropic's technical and organisational safeguards.

Retention

We do not store your chat conversations on our own servers. Chat history exists only in your browser tab during your visit and is cleared when you close it. Anthropic may temporarily retain API requests for up to 30 days for abuse-monitoring purposes per their standard terms.

What you should not send

The assistant is built for general questions about our coaching. Please do not paste sensitive personal data (health, financial, identity documents), payment details, passwords, or third-party personal data into the chat. If you do, ask us to delete that record by emailing liam@deskcush.com.

Legal basis

We process assistant interactions on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — providing a helpful pre-sales experience while respecting your privacy. You can object to this processing at any time by closing the chat or contacting us.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary:

• Enquiry emails: up to 24 months from last contact
• Client booking records: up to 7 years (UK tax record-keeping requirement)
• Analytics data: anonymised, retained 14 months by Google
• Chat conversations: not retained on our servers (see Section 4)

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we use HTTPS, hosted infrastructure with reputable providers (Netlify, Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe), and minimum necessary data principles.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions
• Anthropic — AI assistant (see Section 4)
• Supabase — backend database and authentication for the skills tracker
• EmailJS — sending enquiry and magic-link emails
• Stripe — payment processing
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics

Each provider has access only to the information they need to perform their service.

8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request restriction of processing
• Request transfer of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis)
• Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

9. Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies for Google Analytics and to remember session state during enquiries. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site (such as form submissions) may not function fully without them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
